Obituary for Timmy Dale Roberts

Reverend Timmy Dale Roberts, 64, of Pampa, gained his angel wings and is walking the streets of gold completely free of pain. He passed away early morning on Monday, June 3, 2019 with his wife and daughter, Lauren, by his side. Tim was born on August 1, 1954 to Billy and Shirley Roberts in Pampa.

Tim was a lifelong resident of Pampa. He graduated from Pampa High School and continued his education to receive his Doctorate in Theology to become an ordained minister then on to accommodate his Master of Science Environmental Engineering (MSEE) degree. Throughout his working career, he wore many hats. Tim worked as a peace officer in Dimmitt and Friona as well as a sniper on the SWAT team in both Pampa and Borger, a Dare Officer in Canadian and a certified EMT. He was Vice President, Draftsman and Research and Development of Crawl Products, Fire Marshall in Dimmitt, Draftsman for Cabot and a Master Electrician as well as owner of Affordable Electric Company.

He married his soul mate, Ginger Moore, on March 2, 1979 in Clayton, New Mexico and they had been married 40 years. Tim was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed tinkering with things. Although he fought Parkinson’s with all his might, he always had a smile on his face, his sense of humor never waivered and he maintained his ability to crack a joke in order to see others smile. Tim had several interests in life such as playing gospel music on his guitar, fishing, woodworking, crafting, building, racing stock cars and always helping others despite the circumstances. Until his illness prevented him, he was a very active member of Pampa Masonic Lodge 966. Tim was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and President of the Pampa Shrine Club as well as a mini-corvette driving Kiwanis Klown.

Tim lived an adventurous and courageous yet fun life loving and serving the Lord while never losing his faith and hope. He was a very loving, selfless and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend. He dearly loved all his family and friends and will be missed immensely. Wise words to live by and apply to all our lives “Life and time are the two best teachers. Life teaches us to make good use of our time and time teaches us the value of life.”

Those that greeted him at the pearly gates are his parents; grandmother, Laura Jane Mangus; sister, Theresa Horton; uncles, JP Wright, Ernest Crocker; aunts, Wanda Wright, Veta Bell Crocker and his brother-in-Christ, Richard Bartel.

Loved ones left behind to cherish Tim’s memories are his loving wife, Ginger Roberts of Pampa; three sons, Jeremy Roberts of Missouri, Landon Roberts and wife Mischell, Sabastian Roberts all of Pampa; a daughter, Lauren Childress and husband Aaron of Pampa; three brothers, Randy Horton of Phoenix, Arizona, Ricky Horton of Amarillo, Darrel Roberts of Michigan; four grandchildren, Geoffery Bowley and wife Megan, Kaitlyn Roberts, Karleigh Fry, Kayleigh Fry; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Bowley, Luke Bowley, Logan Bowley; mother-in-law, Nadine Waldrop; sister in Christ, Betty Varquez; four brothers-in-Christ, Rick Crosswhite, Mike Kelsey, Bill Roy, Bobby Burkhalter and numerous family, friends and loved ones.
