Obituary for Sandra Jean "Sandy" Pulatie (Geiger)

Sandra Jean “Sandy” Pulatie, 69 years of age, of Pampa, Texas, peacefully drew her last breath this side of glory with her daughter, two grandchildren and family friend at her side, Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on January 27, 1953, to Wesley and Lourita Geiger in Pampa, Texas.

Growing up with a dad who taught as a band director, Sandy was exposed to music at a very early age. This not only piqued her interest and love for music, but also taught her to appreciate various aspects of it as well. By the time she graduated Bixby High School in 1971, she could play numerous instruments including the oboe, cello, piccolo, accordion, and saxophone just to name a few. Following her graduation from Bixby, she attended Oklahoma State University for two years.

Dedicated to her employment with the State of Texas, Sandy was an extremely hard worker and took great pride in being able to help the aging and disabled in filing for Medicaid benefits. After retirement, Sandy experienced time on her hands and found solace in diamond painting and cross stitch, of course, all while listening to The Gaither’s or Sandy Patty and her beloved animals close by watching her every move.

Sandy or “Granny Sandy” so lovingly addressed by her grandkids and great-grandkids, was a bit shy and somewhat reserved, perhaps a little laid back even, but without fail, wore a warm smile and exuded kindness and love. Although quiet and reserved, she projected the strength and ability to provide her family with a solid foundation…she was their rock!

Those loved ones who have gone on ahead of her are her parents, Wesley and Lourita Geiger and a brother, Bill Geiger.

Sandy leaves to carry on her legacy of love and kindness, two daughters, Felicia Little and husband Jeff , Courtney Dills and husband Richard all of Pampa; sister, Deborah Hall and husband Andrew of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Jorel Little, Alexis Little, Brasston Pulatie, Ashleigh Pulatie, Kimberleigh McCloud, Cayson Pulatie; five great-grandchildren, Xzara Pulatie, Lusion Pulatie, Brynleigh McCloud, Aurora McCloud, Tenleigh McCloud; lifelong close friend, Diana Judd of Oklahoma and a host of extended family members.

Sandy’s family would like to express a very heartfelt and sincere Thank You to the staff of BSA Compassion Home Health, Lisa Mahler and sister by choice, Terry Osborn for the love and compassion shown to our mother as well as us during such a difficult time. We pray blessings upon you all.

In honoring Sandy’s wishes, the family has entrusted her cremation care to Winegeart Funeral Home and will host a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at a later date. Please feel free to sign up for notifications to be automatically updated of service details as they are available.
