Obituary for Ryan "Marc" Garza

Ryan “Marc” Garza, 38, a lifelong resident of Pampa, Texas, left this life to spend eternity in paradise on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on January 5, 1985, to Eduardo and Diana Garza in Pampa.

Following high school, Marc attended Kansas State on a soccer scholarship and received his associate degree and then decided to further his training and received a certification in I & E. He had spent the last ten years in the electrical field working for Proman Southwest Electric, Xcel Energy, and Atmos.

When Marc wasn’t in his serious work mode, he was the “Host with the Most” and self-proclaimed Grill Master! Anyone who knew Marc was aware of his love for entertaining…the more the merrier! His love for life, his positive outlook and his ability to goof around and make light of situations was a magnet that attracted friends from far and near. He was the greatest Bad Dad Joke teller and never missed an opportunity to embarrass his daughters. Marc was the epitome of the “go to” dad. He loved to swing open the car doors and load every kid he could fit in and take them on an adventure (the parents loved him for this). Not only was he more or less an overgrown child himself, but he loved to interact with kids and so he happily volunteered his time as a coach and the commissioner for the Optimist Park football.

One to never leave you hangin’, Marc was always reliable and available for whatever obstacles may arise. When given a task, he stayed focused until he completed what he had committed to. His upbeat, glass-half-full attitude and his unwavering ability to encourage others will be so terribly missed.

Marc was greeted into Heaven with open arms by his daddy, Eduardo Garza; grandparents, Salvador and Sara Garza and Cleo and Marie Mikeal as well as an aunt, Rosie Garza.

His memories and love of laughter will be cherished by his mother, Diana Garza of Pampa; two daughters, Aubrie and Blair Garza of Pampa; a stepson, Thomas Silva of pampa; two brothers, Mikeal Garza and wife Kim of Elk City, OK, Matthew Garza of Oklahoma; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Marc will be available to pay respects on Monday, May 15th from 1 until 8pm at Winegeart Funeral Home, 300 W. Browning Avenue.

Celebration of Life Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Jamison Hancock officiating. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Should donations be preferred, the family has set up a scholarship fund for Aubrie and Blair at First Bank Southwest. Please contact First Bank Southwest at 806-665-2341 for further details.
