Obituary for Ronnie Jay Branscum

Ronnie Jay Branscum, 69 years old, of Pampa, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 23, 1951, to JC Branscum and Mary Pendergrass in Pampa.

Being a lifelong resident of Pampa, Ronnie enjoyed playing both basketball and baseball while attending school before graduating from Pampa High. He had been an ordained minister and preached for many years, then following his tenure as minister, he worked and retired from National Oilwell Varco. One of Ronnie’s hobbies was working in his yard, and having time on his hands after retirement, he decided to make money doing what he loved. Eventually, he retired from his yard service business as well and spent his free time trying to keep up with his two little dogs, Goldie and Floppy.

He was preceded in death by his father, JC Branscum; mother, Mary Marsh; brother, JC Junior Branscum; sister, Brenda Bowman and wife, Barbara Branscum.

He is survived by three daughters, Sherilyn Voegele of Oklahoma City, Rhonda Irvin of Canyon, Judith Quisenberry of Oklahoma City; wife, Candy Branscum of Pampa; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

As instructed by Ronnie, an immediate burial took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. No further services are scheduled. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
