Obituary for Johnny R Gallegos

Johnny Raymond Gallegos, 77, of Pampa, Texas, passed from this life into rest on Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Pampa. He was born on March 22, 1945, in Lamar, Colorado to Tony and Carmen Gallegos.

Johnny had been a resident of Pampa for most of his life after moving here from Lamar, CO while in his 30’s. Shortly after moving, he met and fell in love with Clara Ramirez. He was mainly employed as an oilfield hand for various companies including Flint, Curtis Oilfield and Top Of Texas Oilfield. Johnny was an extremely loving and caring husband and family man. Although he was a hard worker, Johnny enjoyed his time off relaxing and could be found fishing, admiring his knife collection or spit shining his car all while listening to his favorite music.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Mary Ann Gallegos, Tony Gallegos, Jr. and Teresa Gallegos.

He leaves to remember his loving spirit, his wife, Clara Gallegos of Pampa; children, Johnny Gallegos of Pampa, Samuel Terrazas and wife Heather of Anna, Texas, Maria Brito and husband Jorge of Pampa; four grandchildren, Elaina Terrazas, Adrian Brito, Alex Marrufo, Diamond Bagley and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Marrufo and Xander Marrufo; cousin, Rosalia Sapien as well as numerous extended family members.

Celebration of Life Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez officiating. Cremation will follow services with an inurnment to be held at a later date. The family has entrusted their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
