Obituary for John Philip Olsrud

John Philip Olsrud, 83, of Pampa finished his travels to Glory on December 17,2021 at his home. A native of Minnesota, John was born November 16, 1938, to Philip and Mary Olsrud at home in Tara Township, MN.
John entered the US Army in 1955, served for three years. When he left the service, joined the workforce as a truck driver mainly working local routes in and around the Minneapolis and St. Paul area before retiring at the age of 58. Retirement prompted him to move and live in different part of the country including Kansas, South Dakota, and Nevada before making his home in Pampa. John was an ordained minister with the Chaplains in Service organization and believed his mission in life was to save souls. He continued this work with the Lighthouse Recovery Church and brought years of experience to bare in helping others who struggled.

Meeting him at the end of the road in Heaven are his parents; two brothers, Francis Olsrud, Robert Olsrud; a sister, Phyllis Giroux. He is survived by his son, Mike Olsrud of Minnesota, two stepchildren, Colleen Harrell and Rick Harrell; four grandchildren, Paige Harrel, Jennifer McAllister, Josh Cleveland and Jeremy Cleveland; a brother, Joe Olsrud of Minnesota. John also leaves behind his friend, caregiver and partner in prayer, Amanda Hilton.
