James “Red” Floyd Williams, 58 years old, of Pampa, Texas, on Friday, January 7, 2022, was forever released from all internal conflicts and struggles into an eternity of peace. The only son of four children, he was born on June 13, 1963, in Lancaster, California to Al and Sharon Williams.
In 1974, Al and Sharon moved the family from Lancaster to Pampa, which always remained home and the place to come back to. Red enjoyed riding horses and rodeoing and was particularly good at riding bronc while a resident at Boys Ranch. Those who knew Red, understood that “Red was just Red” and he was most definitely one of a kind. In many circumstances, he may have been confused, but he always had a good heart and passion for his causes. He was very outgoing, sometimes in an unconventional manner, but nonetheless, he was outgoing.
Red was extremely blessed with the God given artistic abilities of drawing freehand, painting, airbrushing, and tattooing. It all came so easily and naturally for him it was just second nature. When he wasn’t cruising the highway on his Harley or behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, he spent time reading books, supporting NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhart), playing with his pups, and recently becoming addicted to The Blacklist series. His playful antics, hardheadedness, and even his craziness will be missed by many who knew him.
Those who awaited his arrival into heaven were his mom, Sharon Williams and brother-in-law, Al Turner.
Those who remain to remember his compassion are his dad, Al Williams of Pampa; daughter, Kaleigh Stephens of Borger; brother, Steven Free and wife Sherry of Pampa; sisters, Sheryl Gafford and husband Scotty of Chehalis, WA, Mary Turner of Pampa, Christie Mitchell and companion Chris Starnes of Canadian, Christine Kiper and husband Willard of Pampa, Rebekah Nunn of Pampa; three grandkids, C.J., Jacobie, Addilyn and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family who will all miss him.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Knights of Columbus Event Center, 318 N. Cuyler Street, Pampa, TX. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
