Obituary for Henry Bryant Harvin

Henry Bryant Harvin, 57 years of age, of Perryton, Texas, passed from this life into eternity with “his best friend, God and brother, Jesus” on Friday, August 19, 2022, in Pampa, Texas. He blessed his family with his birth on March 9, 1965, in Bowie, Texas.

He lived his childhood mainly in Perryton then spent approximately 30 years in California before returning home to Perryton about 6 years ago. Henry learned the art of welding at an early age and continued to gain the knowledge of working with many sorts of metals and techniques. When not working, he could be found with camera in hand taking pictures of the sky, stars, moon, and clouds or picking up various interesting rocks to add to his collection – but never alone as his best friend and companion, Bear, was always at his side.

Always wearing a smile on his face, Henry was an extremely happy soul with a genuinely giving spirit. Even after falling ill, he never quit striving to bring joy and laughter to others lives and often times, quoting verses from the Bible to uplift downtrodden spirits. His love, zest for life and cheerfulness will be missed by all whose lives he has touched.

Henry was greeted into Heaven by his parents, George Henry Harvin and Alpha Omega Elizabeth Starostka and three nephews, Douglas, Christopher and Pharon.

His presence will be greatly missed by his three children; four sisters, Jeannie Record of Perryton, Diane Cherry and husband Clay of Odessa, Cynthia Harvin of Justin, Sabrina Cornell of North Richland Hills; four nephews, Shawn Cherry, Daniel Cherry, Michael Cherry, Kelsey Cornell and last but certainly not least, his sidekick and furry companion, Bear.

Celebration of Life Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at Community Worship Center of Perryton, 2210 SW 15th Avenue, Perryton with Pastor Kevin Britton officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home, 303 N. Frost Street.
