Obituary for Felipe Balderrama II

Felipe Balderrama II, 81 years and two days old, of Pampa, left this earthly life to be joined in heaven with his precious wife on the evening of Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Amarillo with his family at his side. He was born on January 5, 1940 in Satevo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Felipe Balderrama and Ramona Guerrero.

Felipe had lived in Farmington, New Mexico for many years and had worked for a pipeline company during his younger years. In 2008, he moved to Pampa to be close to his son, although, he would occasionally take lengthy trips to Chihuahua, Mexico to visit his daughters there. Felipe’s most valuable treasures were his family. He loved to be with them, to spoil his grandkids, and to simply enjoy their presence. A man of few words, Felipe was incredibly quiet and reserved. He would much rather observe others than to be the center of things. When he did have something to say, it was always very polite. Felipe’s warm smile and happy demeanor will be missed by his many loved ones.

Those that passed away before his were his beloved wife, Bertha Martinez on April 22, 1995; his parents; a sister, Guadalupe Balderrama; son-in-law, Francisco Balderrama and brother-in-law, Amado Martinez.

Felipe has left behind to carry on his love, two sons, Rafael Balderrama and wife Maryann of Cortez, CO, Felipe Balderrama III and wife Ana of Pampa; five daughters, Luz Bertha Balderrama and husband Raymundo, Manuela Balderrama, Rosalia Balderrama and husband Juan, Maria Balderrama and husband Jaime, Irazema Balderrama and husband Francisco all of Chihuahua, Mexico; three brothers, Rosalio Balderrama of CA, Rodolfo Balderrama of CA, Francisco Balderrama of Satevo, Mexico; three brothers-in-law, Manuel Martinez and wife Elva, Ramon Martinez and wife Maria, Francisco Salazar; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with one to arrive in March and numerous nieces and nephews.

Felipe will be available to pay respects on Saturday, January 9th and Sunday, January 10th from 1pm to 8pm with a Rosary being recited at 5pm Sunday evening at Winegeart Funeral Home.
