Obituary for Lewayne Foshee

Earnest Lewayne Foshee, 72, of Pampa, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, and is now sitting lakeside in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. Lewayne was born September 9, 1950 to Earnest and Ethel Foshee in McLean, TX.
Lewayne, as he was known to friends and family, spent the majority of his life living and working in McLean. He was employed by C & H Feed and Supply over the tire shop for many years, for McLean ISD where he had been a student and was especially proud to serve his community as a Volunteer Firefighter. When he had retired from those positions, he decided he wasn’t quite done working and spent three years as the Camp Host at Lake McClellan, which by far was his favorite job.
He became the patriarch of a large, blended family on November 27, 2000, when he married Cindy Hearn after they had danced their way into each other’s lives at a Christian Singles Dance and spent the last 22 years dancing thru life together enjoying their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was always a priority with Lewayne, and he loved spending time with all of them going fishing, riding four wheelers at the lake and helping with the Texas Cross Country Races. He absolutely adored his church and church family of One Way Church of McLean. A true Christian, if it was his and you needed it, he would give it without question. His opinion was always available, and he would tell you all about it, but always with the kindness of a best friend no matter who you were.
Lewayne was greeted at the dock in Heaven by his parents; a son, Brandt Jones and a brother-in-law, Butch Wyatt.
Those left to remember his legacy of love and kindness are his wife Cindy, of the home; 12 children, Melissa Foshee of Pampa, Steven Foshee of Pampa, Valerie Jennings and husband Ray of Greenville, TX, Garry Lee James and wife Tammy of Pampa, Jeff Jones of Pampa, Nick Jones of Pampa, Jennifer Kensinger and husband Matt of Oklahoma City, Tabitha Jones of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Jones and wife Whitney of White Deer, Timothy Jones and wife Danielle of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Matthew Jones and wife Lisa of Rosewood, TX, and Brittany Monds of Clarendon. He also leaves for a later reunion, two sisters, Lynn Bailey and husband Rocky of Perry, OK and Elaine Wyatt of Lefors. He will be greatly missed by his 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services will be set for a later date to allow time for the family to come together. Please sign up for notifications to be alerted as memorial service details are available. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
