Obituary for Deana Gail "Sissy" Lesher

Deana Gail “Sissy” Lesher, 47-year-old angel sent from Heaven, of Pampa, Texas, took Jesus’ hand to be joined with her daddy for eternity on Monday, November 7th, 2022, with her family surrounding her while in the hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She graced this world with her presence on July 16th, 1975, to Tim and Vickie Lesher in Pampa.

As a creation of God’s pure innocence, Sissy was a prime example that God makes no mistakes…He may make us all different, but each of us are special and unique in our own ways. One to have only the purest of hearts and souls, Sissy was the epitome of love and happiness. In her simplicity and innocence, she found ways to express her excitement and joy as well as ways to maneuver around the house in order to join in whatever she found enticing!

As a sissy to two sisters, she was an amazing shoulder to cry on or the most incredible listening post one could ask for. She kept all their secrets and could console them in only the way a Sissy could. Deana had several favorites such as a Happy Apple, a telephone rattle, her stuffed monkey, and the color red. Anything red caught her attention…or blankets, she wanted any blanket she laid her eyes on, even in warm weather they weren’t safe from her clutches. She had an uncanny ability to sniff out cake and ice cream, always expecting her fair share. Lovingly referred to as “Houdini Deanie”, she could stealthily sneak around quietly and pull off unexplainable tasks.

Sissy loved to go places and her family always included her in everything they did. She was the center of all activities, and any necessary accommodations were made to see she was involved. She even enjoyed shopping…especially for shoes! Of all the enjoyments Sissy loved, none compared to the love she had for music. Nothing soothed or calmed her like the sound of her daddy playing the drums, her niece, Madi playing the piano and singing, or gospel music being sung at church. Rest easy sweet girl and sing like an angel!

Sissy was preceded in death by her daddy, Tim Lesher; grandparents, Melba and Jack Lesher, Wanda and JP Wright and Dorothy and Troy Brewer.

Those left to cherish her memories are her momma, Vickie Lesher of Pampa; two sisters, Katrina Hickerson and husband Dan of Pampa, Tammy Mendoza and husband Mike of Pampa; niece, Madi Mendoza of Pampa, three nephews, Timothy Davis and wife Kashian of Pampa, Bradley Davis and wife Destiny of Stinnett, Braydon Case and husband Sammy of Amarillo; a cousin who was more of a brother, Tony Tristan and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sissy will be available to pay respects on Thursday, November 10th from 3 to 8 pm at Winegeart Funeral Home, 303 N Frost Street.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2022, at First Assembly of God Pampa Church, 1030 S. Love Street with Pastor Ed Sattesahn officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Should donations in honor of Sissy be a preference, the family asks they be made to Vickie Lesher, 2230 North Nelson, Pampa, TX 79065.
