Obituary for Carlos Alberto Lopez

Carlos Alberto Lopez, 66, of Pampa, Texas, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was born on August 8, 1956, to Alberto Lopez and Zolia Esperanza Murillo in El Salvador.

Carlos had worked as a supervisor for Michael Foods while in Nebraska as well as a beef plant manager. He was an avid reader of all types of books; however, the Bible was by far his favorite reading material. Being a Christian, he was very involved with his beloved church, Iglesia de Jesucristo De la Fe Apostolic where he often times preached and was a children’s church teacher. Carlos loved to relax and watch Christian television shows as well.

According to Carlos’ family, no day was complete without his coffee, and he loved to eat Carmen’s good home cooked food. Once he moved to Pampa, approximately two years ago, he remained in touch with his family via phone and although far away, he was still a good husband and father. His devotion to his church and ability to carry on long conversations will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Lopez.

Those who he leaves behind are his wife, Carmensita Lopez of Nebraska; his mother, Zolia Murillo of Utah; four sons, Jacob Lopez, Joshua Lopez, Jason Lopez all of Nebraska, Jonathan Lopez of Minnesota; a daughter, Jessica Lopez of Minnesota; two brothers, Ernesto Murillo of Utah, Fernando Murillo of Florida and 6 grandchildren.

Carlos will be available for viewing on Monday evening from 5pm until 8pm in his church, Iglesia Apostolic, 712 N. Lefors Street, Pampa and again Tuesday, from 10 am until 5 pm.

Celebration of Life Funeral services are scheduled for 1pm, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Iglesia de Jesucristo De la Fe Apostolic Church with Pastor Oscar Fraire officiating. Cremation will follow services. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
