Obituary for Betty Jean Mason (Dibler)
Betty Jean (Dibler) Mason, 95 years of age, was called to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born on May 15, 1927, in Export, Pennsylvania to Leola Bessie (Byerly) Dibler and William John Dibler, the youngest of 7 girls.
She completed a Cadet Nurse education in Butler, Pennsylvania and had worked as a nurse many years covering various states, eventually settling in Texas’ “wide open spaces!” Betty Jean decided it was time for a career change and studied speech pathology obtaining her master’s degree. She was employed many years until her retirement with the Dallas School System.
She met and married Robert Everett Mason from Wheeler, Texas. They were blessed with a daughter Betty Jean in 1955 and nicknamed her “Junior”.
Betty was greeted with open arms into Heaven by both Robert and Junior as well as her parents and six sisters.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews in Texas, Pennsylvania and Florida.
She loved the Lord and will be missed by her family and those whose lives she touched over her 95 years. She and her daughter loved animals and a donation to a local animal shelter would be a lasting tribute.
Betty will be laid to rest alongside her husband and daughter in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Pampa, TX in a private service. Her family entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
